The most homesick episode ever 😭

Suddenly craving watermelon, I bought one online. It reminded me that since I was little, every summer there was watermelon every day at home. When I was a kid, Mom and Dad would cut it up and I’d gnaw on it. Now when I visit, if I get a craving late at night, I sneak half a melon from the fridge, cut it up, and eat it.

Anyway, being at home just feels so safe, like there’s a protective shield.

Just now I cut and ate the watermelon—it’s sweeter than every watermelon my parents bought this year. But I miss home so much 😭
